Hi, I am Aleks!
Founder and head trainer
My Story
My journey started as a dog-loving kid walking family pets and volunteering at rescue centres. That early love for animals naturally led me into the world of animal behaviour and training — a field I’ve grown more passionate about with each passing year.
Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of species — from dogs and horses to rats, hamsters, and even exotic animals like meerkats, skunks, and tortoises. These experiences deepened my understanding of how different animals learn.
Today, I live with three incredible dogs who keep me on my toes: an 8-year-old Border Collie, a 4-year-old Working Cocker Spaniel and a 15-year-old Jack Russell Terrier.
We love to stay busy with trick training, agility, scent work, rally, and anything else that keeps their brains and bodies engaged!

My Training Philosophy
I believe every dog has the potential to be the companion we dream of — and that the only real limits are often our own perceptions.

That’s why I’m committed to training that is:
-
Kind — rooted in empathy and understanding
-
Force-free and pain-free — never using fear, intimidation or aversive tools
-
Respectful of each dog’s emotional and physical needs
Training isn’t just about behaviour — it’s about building trust, communication, and a lifelong bond. I work with both dogs and their humans to create a safe, compassionate learning environment where everyone can thrive. When we bring a dog into our lives, we take on a responsibility to care for them in every sense — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Because our dogs deserve nothing less!
Supporting Humans, Too
Training isn’t just about dogs — it’s about you, their family.

As a qualified teacher, I bring a unique skill set to my work: not just training dogs effectively, but communicating clearly and confidently with the people who love them. My goal is to empower you with the tools, knowledge, and empathy you need to create lasting change and a stronger bond with your dog.
And I practice what I preach — I believe in lifelong learning. I’m currently studying for a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Canine Behaviour, working toward becoming an accredited Clinical Canine Behaviourist.
